CT Bone Density scan

A CT Bone Density scan is an extremely accurate method of measuring the density of your bones and determining the presence of osteoporosis and risk of future bone fracture in your spine and hip.

It is more accurate than the traditional (dual energy x-ray adsorption) DEXA scan as it provides a true measurement of volume density (mg/cm3) of the spine vertebrae and is not subject to external influences such as calcified lymph nodes or calcium in the aortic.
